As the COVID-19 situation continues, Hayes Residence strives to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our staff and residents. To do this, we have halted regular visitations and public events and reworking our activities schedule in accordance with recommended regulations. Here are a few ways that we help our residents keep active and happy:

Daily walks

Fresh air does wonders for everyone, especially during this time when it’s hard to be in public. We encourage daily distanced walks for our residents, so they get some exercise and a chance to enjoy the beautiful Minnesota weather.

Bingo

Along with always having some games on hand for our residents, we have started doorway bingo nights. This helps us ensure everyone gets some social time that could even result in a fun prize. Bingo!

Outdoor or window visits

We keep our residents connected with family as best we can with revised visitations through distancing outdoors or window visits. Safety measures have been put in place to ensure everyone stays a safe distance away while also wearing masks.

Pet visits

Soon we hope to welcome therapy dog visits! These visits are a nice stress-reliever for our residents. Sometimes we don’t know who likes the visits more: the therapy dogs or the residents.

Retreat rooms

When residents want some peace and quiet in their own space, we offer our retreat rooms, which have become the perfect place to social distance.

As always, we continue our thorough cleaning and PPP procedures as well. If you wish to get any updates, we have a Hayes Resident COVID-19 Update line. Direct: Direct line #651-478-7856 or #651-690-4458 ext. #302. Contact us if you have any questions or would like to inquire about open beds at our residence.
